This project was one of our favorites; it is nestled along the banks of Lake Anna with beautiful waterside views. Garden beds were arranged in large undulating swaths that incorporated the large existing mature trees on the lot. We added in the large cut slabs of Tennessee Crab Orchard flagstones to create winding staircases that lead to a patio at the water’s edge and another to the boat house. The key factors for the plantings for the site were plants that help reduce erosion and maintaining the view of the lake which meant low growing plants and shrubs.

Plant and shrubs included in this beautiful “Water’s Edge” garden are; Vardar Valley Boxwood, Green Beauty Boxwood, Otto Luyken Laurel, Autumn Bride Coral Bell, Dwarf Summersweet, Inkberry, Sunny Boulevard Hypericum, Ornamental Grasses, Sedges, Bottlebrush Buckeye, Christmas Fern, Sedges, Hostas, Epimedium, and Perennial Geraniums.
